Dear all
I want to share this with you all. Few years back I thought why I should not make my own Tripod and Tripod head resembling Wimberly MarkII. Borrowed my friend's Tripod and Wimberly head. Made a 3D model and manufactured in my factory. This is the result. In fact in this head, if you reverse the lens base you can mount the camera with a wide angle lens. You don't need a separate attachment. The main J shape is casted and rest are all machined. Lens base in the Tripod head and Tripod base are CNC machined.

Chandrashekar,
This looks neat. Since you have used CNC the finishing seems to be good. I always used to wonder why we can't manufacture these things in India. Well done.

I am sure lot of wildlife photographers in India will thank you for this.

Cheers,
Sabyasachi

Many photographers in India will bless you for this! If this functions just as well, I'd personally like one. Please show us the tripod you made too.

Cheers,
Aditya

Dear Aditya
You can see the base of the Tripod also in one of the pictures.
As for as working is concerned it works as well as the Wimberly head. The first trial was taken with EF600 mounted on EOS 1D Mark II and it could perform well. Thanks for your comments.
