A huge catch at an unlikely location.

ID: Jumping spider with a catch

Had been on a trail to a spot and after reaching the location we all decided to take rest while enjoying the Splendorous panoramic scenery. Eventually spotted something on one of the, probably, Karvi plant/bush, turned out to be a shy jumping spider which had just caught a huge insect. Unfortunately it was quite close to the edge of the steep slope, so eventually, with cautiousness, went close enough to capture this frame.

Interesting. Great that you could find it. How long did the spider wrestle with its catch? Where was it captured? Western Ghats extends from Goa, Maharashtra, Karnataka, TN & Kerala. :)
