ID: Strobilanthes callosus(Karvi)
Had attended BNHS's Karvi festival at CEC and thus got introduced to this purple beauty. Always have been hearing about it from all the nature enthusiasts, but had never encountered it. But after checking it I could realize why everyone had been talking about it. Though just one of the forms of the Karvi seen along the Western ghats, this mass flowering shrub was spread almost all across their Karvi trail. Its amazing how these beauties have mass blooming once in eight years.
