ID: Crab spider

While starting the trail I saw something odd on the Cock's comb flower, the layout of the petals seemed a tad too off at the top, but on close observation and getting a few feet closer I realized it was a well mixed in Crab spider perched at tip of the flower on a look out for the morning catch, with its frontal legs opened up to grab any unsuspecting feast.

Its so nicely camouflaged with the flower. Is the AF point locked on the flower? The vertical composition works well, gives an idea about the flower and the size of the crab-spider in proportion to it. Do you have any close-ups? Thanks for sharing.

It is not easily noticeable. The colour as well as the shadows help in the camouflage. Why so much space at the top? Thanks for sharing.
