ID: Robberfly
Was really blessed/lucky during the first trail of this month as I encountered a huge number of Robberflies, and few of them were really coopertive to get really close shots of them. For this one instance, the beauty was patient enough to pose for a really close-up shot of it. While having a look at the image on Laptop I realized it had some deformation on one of its eye, probably one of the reason why it flew off when I tried to have a frontal frame of it, my guess is it didnt have a good vision on this side of the eye allowing me to get too close to it.
EXIF:
Canon 550D
Canon 100mm macro
F/16
Shutterspeed 1/100
ISO 800
Handheld, External flash fired
Location: Nagla trail
