A beautiful place of blue water, called "Nil Nirjane", is developed as a birding hot-spot in the months of winter in Birbhum, West Bengal. Basically it is a man-made ecosystem - a reservoir, formed due to Thermal Power Plant of Brakeswar (established in 1999) (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bakreshwar_Thermal_Power_Station). We have annually visited this place and found the flocks of many migratory birds, specially Bar-headed Goose along with Greylag Goose. This shot was clicked on 19 December, 2016.

Nice Compo. Good details (a little grainy ?). Greylegs do not come down here, never seen them. Thanks for sharing.

Nice to see this migratory species. Good eye contact. Some more space all around would have been nice. Thanks for sharing.
