The following snap was taken when hiking to kudremukh peak this past weekend
The EXIF details are given below
Camera:Canon EOS 40D
Lens:Canon 10-22mm
Aperture:f/11
Shutter Speed:1/40
Exposure Compensation:-0.33EV
ISO:100

Beautiful scenery. Lovely composition. Liked the intermittent light and shadows on the mountains by the clouds. Some light in the foreground would have enhanced the image further.

I like the play of light in the background. would have liked more light in the foreground. You can also decrease the highlights in the clouds a tad...

Hi Bhibhav

I have used the convert option in DPP to convert RAW files to jpeg. I havent done any post processing as such. If some one can let me know how to increase/decrease highlights i'll be able to do it and repost the pic.

You can check the graph while processing the image. To decrease the highlights, you can either use the recover highlights bar or directly move the graph more towards the centre. This can be done very effectively in Lightroom and I think even in DPP it should be possible.

In case you are editing in Photoshop you can use the shadow/highlight tool in the image tab. In case of lightroom you can use the recovery slider as well as the highlight slider.

Thanks for the responses. Will try to do recover the highlights and repost the image
