Certain species of birds as I observed, they walk for a while and then stand on one leg for sometime(may be to take rest ?) and then proceed further. And after sometime they again stand on the same posture.

Nice to see three Curlews in one image, low angle, clean background and good enough details. These birds are becoming rare fast and might enter the 'threatened' category soon

Nice resting pose captured. Liked the low angle. Seems there is a slight tilt. You can correct that in the post processing. Where was this photographed? Thanks for sharing.

Birds stand on one leg to take rest. During long periods of inactivity when they rest, you can see they standing at the same place on one leg and then after sometime shifting over to the other leg.
