A record image of 3 of the (possibly 6) Common Shelducks that have caused a sensation by landing in Mumbai. They have been mingling with Greater Flamingos (seen here), Lesser Flamingos, Shovellers and Common Teals. This was in the afternoon - so the light was far from ideal. Furthermore, the tide made approaches difficult.

Nice and lucky sighting of a rare and very beautiful visitor to our subcontinent. All three ducks are in focus and well placed among Flamingos. Thanks for sharing.

Good to see that lot of Flamingos are back in Thane creek. Remember being there this time last year :). That area has become a good birding spot. I hope the Mangrove Department make it even safer for more migratory birds. Thanks for sharing.
