As per dear Sabyasachi da's request I want to submit this photograph of weevil. It is not the same species that my previous post shows. Yet, it is also interesting. In wild, I found this species acting dead while smell threat. This is the NEW YEAR SHOT to me and taken on the very first day of this year :)

Thanks Arun! Nice to see this. At first glance it looks like a dead shell. I would have loved a vertical composition here along the direction of the leaf. Any idea which species is this? Thanks for sharing.

Thank you Sabyasachi da. No vertical composition was shot, sorry for that.
It is weevil for sure so belongs to the order Coleoptera as the other beetles and weevils do. No further identification is known. I wish any member of this forum should help us.

Nice. This is an unusual composition to me, and overall, it looks good. I would maybe have tried to move around to get the beetle more parallel to the sensor, and tilted the camera anticlockwise so that the leaf tip points directly to the corner.
I like the lighting and exposure here. All the highlights are very much in control.

Maybe this is a Myllocerus sp.? I am not sure. These days, there are many insect ID forums (even some on facebook) that can help out.
