Formerly known as the White-browed Tit-babbler. A very bold bird; skittish at first but soon gets used to the presence of a human, after which it readily moves very close (I had to zoom out to fit it into the frame here). Always very active and acrobatic, continuously on the move through bushes and along branches. Stays active in all kinds of weather -- I even saw them actively foraging in heavy snowfall.

Canon 760D, Canon 100-400mm L IS USM
SS 1/2000
Av 8.0
ISO 6400
Full frame @ 320mm
Shot hand-held in rain

Thanks, C&C welcome. (Processed on a poorly calibrated monitor, so the brightness/contrast might be slightly off.)

Nice sighting. Liked the white flowers surrounding the bird, it adds to the composition. There is some noise in the background, maybe due to the high ISO. Was any sharpening done? Thanks for sharing.

Yes, a bit of sharpening done in conjunction with some noise reduction. I agree that it looks oversharpened now. Thanks. :)

Where was it shot? Why ISO 6400?

Sabyasachi - I forgot to add the location - Lachen, Sikkim. ISO 6400 because I wanted as high a shutterspeed as possible to freeze these very active birds. The low light in this weather (throughout the trip) made me stick to high ISOs all the time. I did miss shots at ISO 1600 before pushing it up to 6400.
