Looks like you moved the boat way too close to them. A bird flying towards you or even parallel to you is better. Any animal or bird showing their backs and moving away from the photographer is not of much value. Thanks for sharing.

I agree, this is a sign of dangerously close approach. Unfortunately, this is being done all too often in BPS and other wetlands in India. It was probably not completely in your control as everyone usually has to visit BPS with a lot of other photographers.
