this is how the spoonbill takes off....
canon 350d,canon 75-300,f-5..6,1/2000,iso-2000.
the image shows all stages of take off of the spoonbill.

Interesting. First one bird takes off followed by others. It would have been good if you could have moved closer. This needs a narrow aperture to bring the birds into focus. The pano crop is suitable for the idea. A little bit of space at the bottom would have been better as it would have included the reflections.

I agree the pano crop looks good. including the reflections would have been even better. Good that you were able to isolate them w/o any distractions in the bg/fg

Lovely take off poses. The pano crop adds to the composition. The water droplets are interesting.

Great shot. Nice depiction of the stages of the take-off sequence. At first glance it looks as if you captured different stages of one single bird :D.
The panoramic crop looks good. I think there is some tilt which can be corrected. Agree with Sabyasachi on the aperture.
Do you have any images of an isolated bird taking off?
