This image of Spizaetus cirrhatus is from Bandipur Tiger Reserve.

After driving through thick vegetation, finally came to an area with better visibility.

Canon EOS 1D Mark II, Canon EF 400mm f2.8 L IS USM, EF 2xII ie. at 800mm, ISO 400, f8, 1/800, full frame image. Lens resting on bean bag on top of my Safari.

The lighting was tough. The pose was interesting so am sharing it here. Look forward to your comments.

Cheers,
Sabyasachi

Nice pose... The lighting has taken away a bit of the punch of the image. However given the circumstances, this seems to be the best outcome...

Lovely pose. Liked the sharp grey eye. Nice composition. Light is harsh, but cant change that.

Eye and tilted neck is very expressive.
It seems Sabyasachi is becoming raptor specialist now a days :D
