Photographed this in Ranganathittu last year in August. They were a bit far on the top branches of a tall tree. To get one with an eye contact from a moving boat was a bit difficult.

Canon EOS 80D, Canon 100-400mm L IS lens, f5.6, 1/500, ISO 500, hand held, 10% crop.

Comments and critiques welcome.

Mrudul Madame, Magnificent capture! Beautiful images not only display some facts, they tell stories, awake feelings, manage to share the emotions and difficulties you experienced when clicking the shot button. Producing great pictures requires perseverance with an perspective and perfect timing. And this image seems to have most of it that you wanted to have, truly stunning details.

Too often we ignore bats as photography subjects. I think it is always difficult to isolate one or two bats from the many that appear to be hanging aimlessly from the trees and create an interesting image. The way the heads of the bats are turned one up and the other down is interesting. Thanks for sharing.

Cheers,

Nice and natural. It reminds me about their night invasion on fruits in the garden. Thanks for sharing.SaktiWild
