ID: Snail and two tailed wolf spider

While capturing few beautiful mushrooms, growing on the trunk of a tree was came across a beautiful, slow moving snail, few inches from the fungi. But there seemed to be something else next to the shell beauty, it turned out to be a slightly uncomfortable spider. On close observation the spider surely seemed bothered by the slow moving intruder, which probably decided to crawl past the predator, on every instance the spidey seemed to twitch its dual tails.

It is interesting to observe how different species behave when in close contact with each other. Seems it was difficult to get both the spider (with long legs) and the snail fully in the frame. Maybe moving the camera a bit upwards to get the top of the snail in full would strengthened the composition further. Thanks for sharing.

I agree with Mrudul's observations. Our eyes look for the complete body parts. in psychology we call it the closure effect. The snail knew it didn't have any threat from the spider. Thanks for sharing.
