The rain and the layers

While we were traversing to one of the points of the trail, we came across this narrow section along the higher side of the trail, where the ground was covered with huge numbers of the these flowering shrubs and with the heavy gust of wind, the dark and heavy clouds poured in with small burst of rain. Attempted to capture one such burst with the neighboring landscape. Since the down pour was more of an instantaneous nature, I decided to capture the moment wiht the available equipment, i.e. the macro lens and external flash to trap some light in the rain drops falling in

The 550D cannot flash sync at such a high shutter speed.

In this composition, ideally the top portion should have been darker to show the rain drops better. Trying out with different compositions may be better.
