Dear Friends,

Watching slender & graceful Green Vine Snake in rains at Matheran was a pleasure. This was my first encounter with species & an opportunity to take its pictures. It kept on moving & to frame it was really difficult. Moment you frame, it moves out of frame & you start looking outside the camera to find next frame. Lucky to have captured head shot with tongue out.

EXIF : Canon 550D, Tamron 90mm VC, ISO 1600, f/13, Tv 1/60, Full Frame, Internal Flash with Hand Made Diffuser , PP in LR5

Hope you like & enjoy it.

Lovely close-up. Agree the tongue out is a bonus. Were you able to get any vertical compositions? Thanks for sharing.

Same question as Mrudul's - any verticals? Nice details. This is indeed an extremely photogenic species. There seems to be a reddish patch in the background behind the tongue, what is that? A background branch?
