ID: Dragonfly with fly catch

Accidentally spotted this beauty while it had caught a fly, due to the location of the perch and heavy breeze, couldnt get close to it and frame it, surprised how the helicopter beauty was least bothered with the violent movement of the grass blades.
While I had spotted it, the beauty had just caught the fly, but by the time I could reach closer to it, the fly was already reduced to some black mass, as seen in this frame. The speed at which it had devoured was really amazing.

The compound eyes look good. Moving the camera a bit more to the left and framing to just include the wings on the right (closure effect) would have enhanced the composition further. Or you could have tried composing something like in the below shot (just cropped a bit more) and more space on the left. Thanks for sharing.

Agree about the composition. The inclusion of a bit of the abdomen makes it look a little incomplete, so ending at the wings would be better. Also, a frontal shot would look good for meal-munching dragonflies. :)
