ID: Green vine snake

One of the frame of the vine snake we came across during a trail at Amboli. The whole stretch along the trail seemed to house huge number of these green beauties, that would just hang around the delicate twigs, looking out for some easy prey along with some heat from the sun, in the midst of the dense fog infested forest

EXIF:

Canon 10-18 IS

Shutterspeed 1/20

Liked the eye contact. Its so light, balancing itself beautifully on this small plant. The dense vegetation in the background gives a good idea of its habitat. The shutter speed was less and it seemed it moved a bit, but you were already using ISO 800 (above your comfort zone), so I think not much you could do about it. Thanks for sharing.

I like this image despite the fact that you were clearly struggling with the shutter speed. Very nice depiction of how well this species blends in with its habitat. Did you selectively light the head? It has come out quite nice.

No, i did try out some frames with external flash, but for this one I used the ambient light itself
