Painted Grasshopper of Yeoor

Hello Friends,

It's still raining in Mumbai & visited Yeoor from Tikujini Wadi side today morning (16.09.2017). They are charging Rs. 46/- per person for entering the forest. A yearly pass can be made for Rs. 161/-, but is valid till Dec' 17 only. So planned to take daily pass only. May be next year it would be yearly pass. Lot of morning walkers in forest due to weekend.

Forest is full of high grass & rain water gets deposited in form of water drops. Many insects, butterflies & other species feeding on these water drops. Nice to see the eco-system supporting life.

Tried my hand at Wide Angle Macro ( Inspiration Prajwal Ullal). Hope you like it.

Good details. I like wider compositions as they show the surroundings. I feel a vertical composition would have worked well here as the grasshopper, the stalk and the out of focus tree in the background are in the same line. Look forward to more from Yeoor next year :). Thanks for sharing.
