One can see quite a no of Black Kites here and I experimented with the new Gear!I was standing at the balcony of my flat at 6th floor and using a Vanguard tripod clicked a few.Used Lightroom for PP.

Canon 80D,Canon 100-400 IS II USM,f5.6,1/250,ISO400,IS Setting pushed to 2,Tripod,(AWB-W),JPG recording(not RAW),cropped,pattern metering

The image is not in focus. You have to first acquire focus. The 80D is good in acquring focus. Keep the focus point on the bird and start moving your camera along. Then fire. Cropping amplifies the deficiencies in the image. So if an image is slightly out of focus or not sharp cropping will show it very clearly. In this case this looks to be a large crop. Thanks for sharing.

Nice flight pose. As Sabyasachi has mentioned using Automatic focusing and clicking in burst will help to get the the AF point on the bird. As you have a good view from your balcony, some practice will help you to get comfortable with the new gear. Thanks for sharing.
