This pair of spotted owlets were rooted to their spot at Sasan Gir during our morning jeep safari. As the light was falling on the owl on the right the situation was ideal for a few shots. The shiny yellow eyes were a special attraction!

Canon 80D,Canon 100-400 IS II USM,f5.6,1/250,ISO 250,tripod(sofa cushion on jeep rails)

Whenever you are shooting in dappled lighting you need to ensure that that focus is locked on to the subject. This is because the autofocus works on the basis of contrast detection and locks on to the area of greater contrast and the subject in the shadow remains out of critical focus. Is this a large crop? Thanks for sharing.

Nice sighting of this pair. One good thing is that, if the owl is comfortable, then it will give you an ample time to photograph :). The composition looks fine. Thanks for sharing.
