Up Close with a Spotted Owlet!

It was my dream to get an Owl at close quarters!..Fulfilled that at Sasan Gir!......We saw a pair (posted earlier) and they were happy to be in the branch for quite some time.

Beautiful piercing eyes. There is some loss of details. Is this a crop? Also some noise can be seen in the background. I feel a more proportional vertical framing would have enhanced the composition further. Thanks for sharing.

Nice to see this one. Looks like a large crop. Any imperfections in the image like softness, noise etc is amplified when we crop. Thanks for sharing.

At times reach ie lack of long focal length or inability to move closer to the subject is a problem. However, I prefer not to crop as that pushes me into creating pleasing environmental compositions.
