Red Wattled Lapwing.....Sasan Gir!

This spot at Sasan Gir was quite exciting as we witnessed quite a variety of birds!...this one,scaly breasted munia,Green bee eater,kingfisher.....But it was time to get to the starting gate as darkness was approaching.

Nice close up. As the feet are getting cut, you could have moved the camera a bit down to include them or a vertical framing would have also helped. Placing it slightly more to the left for an off-centered composition would have enhanced the image further. Thanks for sharing.

Agree that the feet shouldn't be cut. At times this happens when you are using the centre AF point to lock focus and click. You can use the peripheral focus points. The AF of the 80D is good. Some experimentation will help.
