ID: Common Sailor

A close up of the beautiful Common Sailor, lazing around on a plant, probably waiting for some heat of the sun to warm it up for the morning flight. On close observation I realized it had damaged its on eye and the dent can be seen on the left side of the frame,

Yes the left eye looks hurt :(. The white line on the wings seems to have been slightly overexposed, you can try to recover the details. Presently the antennae which are not in focus form the major part of the frame , so I am thinking how you could have composed differently. Maybe a vertical, with the eyes placed as per the rule of thirds, not sure. Did you try any other compositions? Thanks for sharing.

I agree with Mrudul. This composition doesn't work for me. The whites in the wings have got burnt. Due to the placement of the antennae our eyes move into the empty portion of the frame. I hope you explored some other angle as well. Thanks for sharing.

I agree too. It would have been better if some of the things are captured differently.
