Fish Eagle

A Fish Eagle, immediately after the Otter sighting at Kabini.

The light was very bad and added to that i needed to get to at least 1/500 SS to get some freeze of the wings and prevent blurring at slow shutter speeds.

Hence had to bump up the ISO to 25600 !!! resulting in a noisy image.

5D Mark III, 100-400 IS II ISM, f4.5, 1/500, EC +2, ISO 25600 on a boat, Bean bag supported.

The image manages to capture the sheer strength and power of this magnificent bird which is an ever present part of the Kabini sky scape.The powerful talons and beak, muscular strong legs, the immense wing span are very apparent in this image.Thanks for sharing.
