Sighted in the Little Rann of Kutch early morning Jan 2018. The fastest bird on earth.Capable of speeds of up to 400 km h. This one seemed to have already had his breakfast as can be seen by the stains on his beak and claws. He would not let us closer than this. Nikon 7100+150-600 mm 1/1000 s F/8 ISO 220.

Lovely sighting. Good that it was directly facing you and both the eyes are clearly visible. A shot with prey would have been even better. Thanks for sharing.

Nice pic and good info regarding the fastest bird!Little bit more of contrast might have stregthened the feel of the pic.
