Eyes in the sand.. Ghost Crab

Dear Friends,

Its republic holiday & you are having a leisurely morning walk at Kashid Beach. You see lot of movement in sand but can't make out what's happening. You bend down to have a look & find these tiny crabs so well camouflaged with beach sand.

End side of beach had lot of these crabs , who found shelter in holes made in sand. Looks like, they were feeding on algae & rush to safety sensing vibrations of our walk.

Awesome, interesting how the texture of the sand is almost replicated on the back of the crab
