Where did you photograph this? The highlights in the canopy take away the attention. So it is always better to move around to see that the background is nicely diffused and without distracting highlights. Slightly less space at the top and more space at the bottom would be better. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks, I captured this at SGNP, Thane side. It was too skittish and any movement would've scared it. I was shooting some birds and this fellow suddenly showed up. Was too cute to pass.

I agree, should've adjusted the highlights and compose better. Will improve. Thanks again.

Deepak,
We are just trying to imagine situations. When you start analysing images to think what could have been done better, after some time you will realise that in the field without realising you are positioning yourself to take advantage of light/shadow, better backgrounds, colours, minimising distracting highlights etc. We all compete with our ownself to improve. So don't take these comments as success or failure of a shot but rather as a long term process of learning.

Cheers,
Sabyasachi

Cute. The vertical composition works well here. Agree about the less space at the top. Thanks for sharing.

Totally agreed with Sabyasachi Patra, the background effect should be taken into consideration.
