This image was taken with AE lock technique.Tiger was walking thru the patches of sunlight and shadow and hence just thought to experiment the technique.
AE simply stands for automatic exposure. The button allows users to lock their exposure settings (i.e. aperture and shutter speed). AE-lock can be extremely useful in many situations. ... AE-lock can allow you to be certain each photo has the same exposure. AE-lock can also be very useful in difficult lighting situations.
This I did to prevent blown off the highlight area and surprisingly the results are impressive.

Canon EOS 5D M IV , Canon 500mm f/4 IS L USM , 1/2000 , f/4(I wished I could have used f/8 here) , ISO-1000 , Hand held , +1/3 step.

Nice scene. I agree that a deep depth of field would have been very nice here. The forest would have looked good. The animal and its habitat has to come out well to make an image shine. With long focal lengths the depth of field at f4 will be very narrow (ofcourse distance is also a variable). I just want to see each leaf. :) Thanks for sharing.

I liked the environmental composition. Gives an idea of the habitat. Was yours the only gypsy there? How long was the sighting? Thanks for sharing.
