Painted grasshopper scape...

Dear Friends,

Yeoor Hills is a place to escape metropolis like Mumbai & Thane . It has some small villages with green fields & lot of life. Peaceful co-existence. Though off late, there is increase in no. of people visiting the place.

It's here , on a milkweed plant, amidst farms, I found this colorful "Painted Grasshopper". It was basking in clear sun , air cleared by recent rains, a beautiful sky over Yeoor Hills .

Lovely scape. Good colours and details in the grasshopper. The hills and the greenery in the background helps to give more idea about the habitat. Nicely captured. How long it takes for you to reach Yeoor? It good to have some peaceful place to escape from the city life :). Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Mrudul, Yeoor Hills is part of Sanjay Gandhi National Park towards Thane & Mulund side. We access it from Manpada/ Tikujini Wadi side. Its hardly 2-3 kms from my home. Many people have yearly passes & they allow morning walkers in the park.

It's always a pleasure to visit this place, especially during Monsoon.
