ID: Mushrooms

An unusual sighting slightly off the trail, this particular patch, a shaded part, underneath a massive bush, there seemed to be atleast thousands of these blooms that gave a very surreal look to the whole patch. Being underneath a bush, getting a clear shot was the most difficult, luckily though could manage a decent frame of the beautiful light beige bloom of the beauties.

EXIF:

Canon 18-135 IS

Shutterspeed 1/60

Wow! It is like a city. Why ISO 200? Why not a higher ISO and a narrower aperture? Thanks for sharing.

Cheers,

Nice to see them growing in such abundance. Looks like a white carpet :). The shutter speed was quite less, an higher ISO would have been good for more details. Thanks for sharing.

Since i was taking the frame from the kit lens, and not a macro image, I thought keeping the ISO low would be better, to avoid any form of noise

Noise is not dependent on lens. It is dependent on ISO and the level of light. So even if you are selecting low ISO but the image is dark and the portions which are underexposed will have noise. Just ensure that you are close and are not going to crop in post processing. The quality of the lens will dictate the details, colour etc. The sharpness will also be dependent on shutter speed, handholding technique and subject movement (here due to blowing wind)
