Dear Friends,

It was an interesting sighting at Yeoor Hills, two of these caterpillars perfectly camouflaged , looking like burnt, dried stem extensions of a bush. We could have easily missed them if not looked very closely.

One of them came out in open to pose for us. Gave us few shots & leaving us surprised, on ways natural world exists. May not be a very aesthetically pleasing image , but definitely interesting for all those exploring nature.

Understand this can be a caterpillar of "Geometer Moth" family. This specimen was approx 2.5" long.

EXIF : Canon 550d, Tamron 90mm VC, f/16, ISO :400, Tv: 1/60, External Flash with Diffuser , PP in LR 5.7

Hope you like & enjoy it.

Wow! Easily one can miss it for wood. Just because it is attached to green one has a chance to notice. The texture looks like wood. This shows how important it is to look carefully. Thanks for sharing.

Cheers,
