This image was shot in Mangalajodi wetland, Chilika. These are normal seen in Mangalajodi throughout the year. But Chilika is now facing a serious threat due to Seaplane project. Theses birds will stop visiting the lake once the project is executed. Save Chilika. Save Mangalajodi. Save wetland. Save biodiversity.

Nice use of the bill to catch (kill) the fish. Everyone needs to spread the message and raise their voice against the project :-|. That will only help to save this pristine wetland. Thanks for sharing.

The force with which they use the bill to stab is phenomenal. In mangalajodi the purple herons are always very cautious and remain far off from the boats. Thanks for sharing.

Cheers,

Lovely Freeze. Like the delicate curve of the neck. The seaplane project is another example of total apathy , human greed and ignorance. thanks for sharing.
