Elephant Mom from Bandipur

This image is from my archives. This elephant mom had got irritated and chased some motorcyclists in the bandipur road. She came and peacefully crossed the road and watched us without any malice in her eyes.

The whole herd had crossed the road and she remained behind and was grazing. Then in a few minutes a small calf came from behind her. She had purposely not crossed as she was waiting for the calf to come. She is digging the grass with her left rear leg. Nice behavior photographed. Thanks for sharing.

Nice. I have developed liking for colour image of elephant because of contrast between colour of background and elephant. The size of eyes of elephant being very small, colour of eyes adds value to the image.
