Dear Friends,

Pleased to announce acquisition of Tamron A035E 100-400mm F/4.5-6.3 Di VC USD Lens . Tried my hand at some birding during visit to Malshej Ghat.

Roaming around green meadows on plateau, heard very loud calls of the bird & saw few of these Bulbuls by entering a thicket of trees. This one caught our attention which was busy carrying thin & dry branches. May be it was building its nest somewhere.

EXIF : Canon 550D, FL : 400mm, f/8 , TV : 1/640, ISO : 1000, Approx. 30% Crop (70% retained), PP in LR 5.7.

Hope you like & enjoyed it & any feedback is welcome.

Nice one. It is good that the eye is clear. I would like to see more of the nesting material the bulbul is carrying to see if the concave branch at the bottom on which the bird is perched and the convex shape created by the dry nesting material can make a bigger circular shape. It is all about finding patterns.

Congratulations on your new lens. Try it at various shutter speeds and see at what minimum shutter speed you can do handholding. It takes time to learn a lens. So better to do it thoroughly. Thanks for sharing.

Cheers,

Congrats on the new lens. The 100-400mm focal length is very flexible. It is good for birding (not very far though) as well as for mammals :).

Nice you got it with the twigs in its beak and the eye in clear. Maybe just a bit less space on the left would have been nice. Look forward to more from the new lens :). Thanks for sharing.
