The king of the anthill

While venturing through the trail, we were astounded to seen the huge number of tiny beauties hopping off from all areas of the damp, muddy trail. Though most of them were difficult to frame, we spotted this beauty on an, mostly abandoned, anthill, surprisingly this chap was least bothered by our presence and rather seemed to be basking in the sun's rays, which would occasionally fall over it, penetrating through the dense forest and falling on that particular spot.

Nice one. These fellows normally run away. So it is great that you could get such a closeup. The eye portion is a bit soft. The reflection of the lights can be seen in the eye. Thanks for sharing.

Nice close-up. The water droplets give a nice feel. With 80D, you could have tried using a higher ISO and aperture. Thanks for sharing.
