This is my first attempt at macro. Just recently got a Tamron 90mm f/2.8 macro lens.
Nikon D7200 Tamron 90, 1/200 sec, f/8, ISO-1800 handheld. Built in flash fired.

Is this a crop image? The eye is not in focus. In macro photography the critical focus is very important as depth of field is very less in such close camera to subject distances.

It's about a 20% crop.

Good to see you trying macros. Beautiful colours. Agree about the eye. As Sabyasachi has mentioned, the key is to get more of the subject in focus mainly the eye and the head area (using narrower aperture helps usually from f10 to f18). Keep trying. Look forward to more. Thanks for sharing.

Vibrant colors on the bug, the block spots on its body is nicely documented and symmetrical. Do agree that some parts are out of focus, nevertheless a lovely picture. Thanks for sharing.
