[Mrudul Godbole]

Photographed in Bangalore in a local garden. It was early in the morning, I was quite surprised to see it perched on a low branch of a small tree in the open. This is from my archives.

Canon 50D, Canon 100-400mm lens, f5.6, 1/200, ISO 400, hand held, full frame.

There is a stark similarity in the body of the hawk cuckoo and shikra. If you cover the head of the bird one can easily mistake it for a shikra. In the field sometimes when the bird is not clear such confusions arise. Nice relaxed pose and a lovely background, Mrudul. Thanks for sharing.
