Purple Sunbird closeup

Purple sunbird captured upclose on Sihagad, Pune. Time was pretty late in the day, about 11:15 am. hence the harsh light. There were a tree with these red flowers on a particular spot which attracted a lot of sunbirds and allowed one to approach very close. Sadly, I didn't carry my 150-600 mm lens.
I see a big loss of details on the bird, which is seen only in the uploaded pic, not the original JPEG. Please advise.

The uploaded image is 1000x667 which is fine. If you upload image longer than 1200 pixels in the longest side the software resizes the image. Your image however appears to be larger in terms of kb. So the software has resized. Can you confirm what size image you uploaded? You can reupload the image with around 500kb.

Will critique the image once we get the sharper version of image.

Nice perch and composition. I think the file size is more than 500kb, so the software has resized. Please upload a image less than 500kb. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks, I tried saving a smaller file since size. Resulted in a terrible loss in quality.
