ID: Porcelain crab (petrolisthes lamarckii) thanks to Abhishek Jamalabad for the ID

While exploring the rocky patches of the beach, came across this unique beauty, a porcelain crab, but unlike the usual pinkish ones seen along the Mumbai;s shore, this was bottle green in colour with some hints of pink along the tip of the from 'claws'? The beauty blended so well to the dark texture of the rocks, that until it moved, it was difficult to spot them.

Nice sighting. Agree the greenish colour is quite difficult to spot among the rocks. Wish the light was less harsh. I can see two tentacles (?) like things on its back side. Any idea what they are? Thanks for sharing.

This is simply a wow species for me. Do you have any other closeup shot or from a different angle? It is not easy to sight them and one can simply move ahead without noticing. Thanks for sharing.

Nice shot. Lamarckii tends to often be very shy compared to the more common boscii, so getting a clean shot is not as easy.

Mrudul - Those are the crabs antennae, angled backwards.
