Widespread resident and commonly seen at freshwater marshes and wetland and found single or small flocks . Photo takes from Bosipota , Hooghly , West Bengal , India on 31-10-2018 . we found 6 nos of birds ( 3 female and 2 male birds ).

Nice to see the bird in its habitat. Agree with Shyamalaji, its so well camouflaged with the surroundings. Good eye contact. The vertical composition looks good. The light seems to be a bit harsh. Did you try any compositions to include the reflection in full? Thanks for sharing.

I like the eye contact. A wider crop will help show the reflection. However, the water needs to be still and clear to get good reflection. Large crops take away details from the image. Would love to see an environmental image. Thanks for sharing.
