ID: Seems like a chrysalis on xanthoxylum plant
While traversing the dried up trail, on a look out for something interesting, stumbled upon this surprising and mysterious protrusions off the plant. Though the actual subject that I intended to capture flew off, this bizarre looking monster drew my attention and started framing it. On close observation it seemed very unique and seemed like a chrysalis of some insect, and there seemed to be several of them, atleast 6-7 on this particular plant and a couple more on the neighboring similar plants. The overall shape was almost like a monster's mouth opening out, with the rough texture it made it more devil-ish.
