This is a purple heron. The focus seems more on the right side of the frame. A bit more brightness would have been better as the purple heron is in the shade. The mangroves are good spawning ground for fishes, prawns etc. So you find these birds ready to get a good meal. Thanks for sharing.

The image is little blackish or else focus is not done properly. You should focus more on Bird. But the scene is good! By, the way which bird it is?

Nice display of habitat. It is difficult to get the focus right from a boat. As there is lot of vegetation around it, the AF point got locked on the vegetation on the right. Using manual focus helps in such times. How were the sightings in Bhitarkanika? Thanks for sharing.
