One of the most beautiful encounter I could imagine of, this beauty, rather a group of them, enjoyed strolling around in the vast and open grounds that was blooming with the monsoon growths. While keeping a track of one of the male, it hopped onto the compound wall and stayed kaput for a long time, until it decided to cross the local road, in front of the temple. Though couldnt manage to get a crisp frame, ended up with this frame with the temple's board in the background, while one of the feather fell off, into the water canal.

Its a great sight to watch such a big bird inflight. Loved the long tail feathers. Wish it was slightly turned towards you. Thanks for sharing.

Agree with Mrudul's comment. Wish the peacock was flying sideways. When they see a person they fly away. So photographer has to wait for the peacock to take off instead of approaching it. In South in many places the peacock is revered and protected. So one can find them. The peacocks just need protection and space. Concretisation is a big challenge along with feral dogs. Thanks for sharing.
