Wonderful. Elephants live in a family normally led by an elderly female whose rich experience makes invaluable contribution in protecting the young in a tigerland. I have seen this formation in Kaziranga once against presence of tiger in nearby bush and the other against mob behaviour of jeepborne tourists! Thanks for sharing. SaktiWild

Nice protective behavior of the herd captured. Loved the way the young tusker is resting the trunk on the calf. The two older females seem to be at easy and grazing peacefully. Nicely explained by Saktida. Thanks for sharing.

The kid is nicely framed by the trunk of the elder. Shows how the elephants protect their young. Tigers are known to be opportunistic and attack elephant calf. Thanks for sharing.
