Looks good. The perch frames it well. the blacks in the neck have lost details. try and recover those .

As I said earlier. I like this image. You did well in using the Exposure compensation effectively. I further increased the exposure and some work on the tone curve. If this is possible with a compact camera, then with a DSLR you will do great.
