ID: Lynx spider(Oxyopidae) feasting on asian Lynx spider(hamadruas)

Like the crab spiders, these big beauties seem to spend most of the time along or around the flowers to catch upon unsuspecting prey. And surprisingly these are known to tolerate the presence of the similar species around itself. Something unique that happened with this particular encounter was the fact, though there was another similarly sized Lynx spider looking out for a prey, this particular one had already caught another of its type and was enjoying its massive feast.Though initially it wasnt comfortable by our proximity, but eventually it decided to pause for a moment and kept on enjoying the heft y meal.
The world of spiders is such a mystery and worth studying with such diverse behaviour amongst itself and the other species

So the lynx spider caught and ate another lynx spider? That's interesting. If closely observed, there is so much we can understand about their behavior. The narrow depth of field has helped to get good details. Thanks for sharing.

Great find. I agree with you about the need to study the world of spiders. What provokes a spider to eat another. So much is not known yet. The depth of field is fine. How much is the crop here? It is difficult to find a predator vs prey of large predators. However, the macro world gives us so many chances to witness it. If wildlife photographers focus on the macro world then a lot can be unravelled. Thanks for sharing.
