Tigress with cub

This was shot from a considerable distance away ,as coming up close would have persuaded the tigress popularly known as Sharmilee, to go back into the bushes from where she had summoned the cubs . It was very late in the evening when this tigress started moving towards her cubs .We followed the sound of her continuous low roars with which she was communicating with her cubs .There were three cubs all running in all directions .This cub seem to be the mothers darling.Nikon 200-500 ,ISO1250 ,1/500s F/8 .Tadoba ,Nov 2019 .

Beautiful sighting. Both the mother and cub looking into your direction, makes it more interesting. I liked the framing. Did you sight her with the other cubs also? Thanks for sharing.

Great sight of mother and child. The cub mimics the mother's actions and soon it can understand what the tigress is doing and why. The tigress and cub were just in the shadow. If the sliver of sunlight would have illuminated the mother and child then it would have been nice. Thanks for sharing.
